Sophos: Spammers use subliminal messages in latest (stock) pump-and-dump scams

Animated graphics deployed in attempt to manipulate stock market /noticias.info/ Experts at SophosLabs™, Sophos's global network of virus, spyware and spam analysis centers, have identified a "pump-and-dump" stock spam campaign which uses an animated graphic to display a "subliminal" message to potential investors. Critical bug found in anti-virus software

A critical software bug has been discovered in several of the most widely used anti-virus programs. It could be exploited to take control of a computer or to steal information, according to an analysis produced by the independent security analyst who made the discovery. The glitch affects 39 different Symantec products - including both home and enterprise versions of its anti-virus software. It resides within the Symantec anti-virus library, which is used by all of the packages. E-mail Virus Wreaking Havoc Worldwide

SPARTANBURG, SC (Talon News) -- A threatening new e-mail virus debuted last Friday and is quickly circulating worldwide across the Internet, affecting computers of countless numbers of individuals, government officials, and media.
